My Fitness Mauritius: The Path to Living Better

The human body is his canvass. He sculpts it to reveal its true physical shape. And he advises you about the kind of food it needs and those which harm it. To benefit from coach Grant van Niekerk’s expertise, head over to the Tamarin Arts Centre.

Grant van Niekerk needs no one to vouch for his expertise in fitness. His body speaks for itself. But that was not always the case. “Twelve years ago, following an accident, I started doing sports to deal with issues with my back,” he explains.

Having built up an extensive knowledge, the South African, whose mother is Mauritian, decided to share it with others. His fitness classes, for individuals or groups, are tailor-made to the needs and desires of his students. Whether it is bodybuilding or weight loss, Grant Van Niekerk says the secret lies in knowing what to do and how to do it.

The coach also believes that sports and eating properly need to go hand in hand to get the best results. The fact that many Mauritians suffer from diabetes but do not do a great job dealing with the condition is not lost on him. That is why he always advises his students on how to eat healthy and draws up meal plans.

To end with, here’s our personal favourite from the van Niekerk playbook: have fun doing what you do!

The Eight-Week Plan

To help you lose weight and tone up your body, Grant Van Niekerk has recently devised an eight-week plan. The response, on the net, has been more than positive.
