Precious metals and semi-precious gemstones hold no secret for Natalie Roberts. The founder and creative force behind Liri Jewellery, fashions them into the most exotic of jewellery pieces. The latest pieces of art are part of the nine new collections launched in March.
The inspiration came naturally. When she moved three years ago, to Flic-en-Flac, a world away from her native Wales, Natalie took in the island’s colours and worked them into her jewellery. The results are stunning. “Since I’ve been here, I’ve just let the colours guide me. The colours of the sea, they are constantly changing with the weather and the time of day. There are so many hues. I am inspired by everything, really!” Her creativity has breathed life into quality necklaces,
earrings, bracelets and ankle chains which can all be personalised. Each collection is limited and each piece has a unique feeling to it.
Liri‘s March 2019 collections are all about contemporary fun and vibrant designs to make the modern woman feel special. Among them are Bella Perla, which was inspired by the moon reflecting on the sea, and the ‘Puro‘ ring collection. All charms are handmade on the island of Mauritius and as a result, no two are the same.
As for Oceana, the collection of bold, statement bracelets inspired by the crashing of waves on the Mauritian shore, also been expanded. She started off with diamonds. But Natalie Roberts has something for other, less vaunted stones.
Liri’s collections give place of honour to silver jewellery set with turquoise, amaranth, fluorite, pearl, quartz, lapis-lazuli or tanzanite, all of which she imports from Europe or India.
